چکیده
Ultrasound (USG) guided supraclavicular brachial plexus block (BPB) helps in precise delivery of local anesthetic injection, reduced volume or dose drug providing excellent surgical anesthesia with fewer complications. Objective the study was to compare effect two different volumes Ropivacaine and Lignocaine at sites USG-guided BPB on diaphragmatic motility, quality tourniquet pain. A prospective randomized double-blinded comparative conducted among adult patient below elbow elective surgery. In group patients (n=17), 20ml solution injected corner pocket 10ml nerve cluster USG. B 15ml 5ml Hemodynamic parameters, excursion, onset effects were measured frequent intervals. The data analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences P-value less than 0.05. profile similar both groups (P-value>0.05). Statistically significant hemi-diaphragmatic dysfunction (partial complete paralysis) after 15 30minutes blockade more common Group (P<0.05). At 30 minutes injection anesthesia, all had sensory motor territory. Tourniquet time lower (80.35±9.59 vs 84.12±7.75 minutes); however, it statistically not present showed that who received lesser half required anesthetics incidence hemidiaphragmatic successful rate blockage (100%) as compared greater anesthetics.

Ultrasound-guided supraclavicular brachial plexus block.
UNLABELLED In this study, we evaluated state-of-the-art ultrasound technology for supraclavicular brachial plexus blocks in 40 outpatients. Ultrasound imaging was used to identify the brachial plexus before the block, guide the block needle to reach target nerves, and visualize the pattern of local anesthetic spread. Needle position was further confirmed by nerve stimulation before injection. T...
متن کاملPostoperative analgesic efficacy of different volumes and masses of ropivacaine in posterior brachial plexus block.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES The efficacy of posterior brachial plexus block for shoulder surgeries is demonstrated by different authors. However, there is no consensus on the ideal mass and volume of local anesthetic to be employed. The objetive of this study was to compare different volumes and masses of ropivacaine in posterior brachial plexus block in arthroscopic surgeries of the shoulder. ...
متن کاملClinical Evaluation of Ropivacaine versus Ropivacaine with Lignocaine and Adrenaline in Supraclavicular Brachial Plexus Block: a Randomised Double Blind Study
Introduction: Lignocaine with adrenaline is used with local anaesthetics to improve the onset and increase the duration of nerve block. The present study aimed to evaluate it's effect when used together with ropivacaine. Objective: To evaluate the effect of adding 2% lignocaine with adrenaline to 0.5% ropivacaine, for supraclavicular brachial plexus blockade on the onset and duration of sensory...
متن کاملEffect of Nalbuphine as Adjuvant to Bupivacaine for Ultrasound-Guided Supraclavicular Brachial Plexus Block
Background: Nalbuphine is a derivative of 14-hydroxymorphine which is a strong analgesic with mixed k agonist and μ antagonist. Nalbuphine was studied several times as adjuvant to local anesthetics in spinal, epidural and local intravenous block. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of nalbuphine as an adjuvant to local anesthetics in supraclavicular brachial plexus block. Patients ...
متن کاملLack of Sex Difference in Minimum Local Analgesic Concentration of Ropivacaine for Ultrasound-Guided Supraclavicular Brachial Plexus Block
BACKGROUND Sex differences, which may be an important variable for determining anesthetic requirements, have not been well investigated in the aspect of local anesthetic. This investigation aimed to compare the minimum local analgesic concentration (MLAC) of ropivacaine for ultrasound-guided supraclavicular brachial plexus block (US-SCB) between men and women. MATERIAL AND METHODS Patients ag...
